Description
The Sound-Craft The Announcer Portable Sound System Lectern (R750) is a durable, compact presentation lectern with an integrated sound system designed for schools, rental companies, municipal facilities, civic organizations, and public speaking events. Developed by Sound-Craft founder Henry Shaw in the 1950s, The Announcer has a long history of dependable performance. Its time-tested exterior design and continually updated electronics make it a practical choice for organizations that prioritize reliability and functionality.
Equipped with a built-in 150-watt amplifier, The Announcer supports a variety of audio needs for speeches, announcements, lectures, meetings, and presentations. The integrated sound system includes a wired gooseneck microphone, a wireless microphone, and Bluetooth connectivity, allowing presenters to choose a suitable audio source for their events. These features provide convenient access to both traditional microphone use and wireless audio playback.
The Announcer also offers flexible connectivity for more demanding sound setups. An XLR input accommodates a second wired microphone, while an auxiliary input supports additional audio sources. A line output allows connection to an installed sound system, and an external speaker jack provides the option to connect a compatible external speaker. These connections help extend the lectern's audio capabilities for different venues and audience requirements.
Built with durability as a priority, The Announcer features a rugged design intended to withstand regular use in demanding environments. Its compact footprint and integrated audio equipment make it suitable for rental operations, educational institutions, municipal buildings, and civic clubs that need a dependable sound system for recurring events. The straightforward design emphasizes practical performance over decorative styling.
The Announcer is available in two carpet exterior finishes: CB Black Carpet and CC Charcoal Carpet. These neutral options suit a range of institutional and professional settings. Combining a proven design, versatile microphone options, Bluetooth connectivity, and expansion connections, the Sound-Craft Announcer Portable Sound System Lectern delivers a convenient all-in-one solution for announcements, presentations, and public speaking.
