The Sound-Craft The Mixer Audio Console Desk (MD48) is a custom-designed audio mixing desk built to securely house audio mixing consoles while providing organized storage for professional audiovisual equipment. Ideal for recording environments, production facilities, educational institutions, houses of worship, and other audio-focused spaces, The Mixer combines a functional console workspace with an attractive furniture-style cabinet designed for professional installations.
Available in wood veneer, melamine, and high-pressure laminate finishes, The Mixer can complement a variety of interior styles and facility requirements. Its removable flat work surface comes standard with two cable port outlets, helping users organize cable connections and maintain a functional mixing area. Additional work surface cutouts and cable passageways can also be customized to accommodate specific console dimensions, connections, and equipment layouts.
The Mixer includes a standard 13-space equipment rack for compatible audio components and accessories. Front and rear Euro-hinged doors provide convenient access to installed equipment for setup, maintenance, and adjustments. This configuration helps keep audio equipment organized within the desk while maintaining access for technical personnel.
Ventilation is incorporated into the cabinet design to support airflow around installed equipment. Vented slots in the equipment rack floor and openings in the internal partition help circulate air through the cabinet. For installations that require additional cooling, optional cooling fans can be added to help manage heat generated by operating audio equipment.
The Mixer can also be configured with optional accessories, including a tambour roll-top, pocket-pivot door, rack mounts, and adjustable shelves.
